“And you shall hear rumors of war……”

– Oh my God

– And then comes the storm, and animals are flying through the air
– Oh my God

– And beds are floating across the fields… and old clocks…

and behind a tree two small children are standing
– Who?
– I think it’s us
– Oh no….

The mother of War is the vision of power, as the children of war is powerlessness. In between the soldier is standing at the front. It is he who must do the unworthy. Loss of dignity leaves him unable to forgive or to be forgiven. The ability to forgive is the privilege of the strong one.

“What does it really mean to forget…? Piling on with so many new memories that it grows into a mound that hides the old ones? Or, on the contrary, to brood and dwell so much on what happened that it changes into something else” ( S. Sæterbakken).

The Visionary is inspired by Ludvig Holberg’s “Jeppe on the Hill”.

De Utvalgte have presented a number of successful productions at Black Box Teater, amongst these are «Bang Bang Club» (2004), «Jimmy Young» (2007), «Skuggar» (2009), «Drømmen» (2010) and «Kunsten å bli tam» (2011). «De Utvalgte» premiered at Black Box Teater fall 2012 to exellent reviews and the group was awarded with the Norwegian theater award «Hedda» for Special artistic achievement.
