«You’re welcome» is Tale Dolven and Gabel Eibens first joint project.
Tale Dolven has her background as a dancer from the world famous company Rosas who was recently at the Black Box Teater with the legendary performance «Fase». In «Fase» Tale Dolven dance alongside Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, the founder of Rosas. Gabel Eiben is known from the American theater company Nature Theatre of Oklahoma who has visited the Black Box Teater numerous times. On stage with them they bring the Japanese dancer Taka Shamoto. «You’re welcome» is a playful performance, but under the surface there is uncertainty. The show explores the desire to perform and the audience may recognize the joy of mastering something, as well as the fear of failure.
“We concentrate on topics that mean a lot to us in our everyday work, such as work ethic and various challenges connected to our work. With an ambition to work hard, we developed tasks and strategies that proved to resemble a game.”
