In Parasite 1, three newly graduated choreographers, The Scorpios, will infect the graduation performance Absolutely Fantastic – Half a plan, half a miracle and create their own work. With folk dance, drag, contemporary dance, and the sharpest, freshly forged choreographic tools from KHiO on their belts, the scorpion-parasite will extract other perspectives and ideas, exploring whether together with our host we can create two works that resonate and sing about politics, humanity, and our future.

● The Scorpios is a collective consisting of Sunniva Moen Rørvik, Vetle Springgard, and Malene Juliussen, all newly graduated choreographers from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO). Together they span a wide range of expressions – from folk dance to drag, via contemporary dance and theatre – united in their interest in movement, stand-up, strong opinions, entertainment, and horoscopes. Parasite 1 marks the trio’s first stage production and builds on the success of their previous collaboration: a joint birthday party that received glowing reviews.
