“I left a whole world for you baby / I wanted an anniversary and real, rational love / Memories like little bits I can eat / And these chairs, these attractive chairs / An installation that eats costumes and long, long hair / And ugly paintings and quiet, tall girls”

In Det Siste Epos (The Last Epic), universes collide and lay the foundation for an epic story where existential, political, and personal issues unfold over different parallel levels. We meet Lilith – a nasty woman, a man who becomes allergic to society, Simone Weil, a dystopian prince and six imaginary astronauts trying to figure out how to live on the red planet. This is the anti-heroes’ epic, a story 2.0.

Det Siste Epos, is a performing arts project that describes the entire world in one performance. Correspondingly to epic works such as the Odyssey, the performance describes a whole new universe where new traditions and laws prevail. The last epic is a moment in history that holds a whole world story.

The three self-proclaimed maximalists costume designer Fredrik Floen, dramatist Runa Borch Skolseg and director Marie Nikazm Bakken have teamed up to take hubris to new and forgotten heights.
