Dandizettes is a solo created by Ida Wigdel, in collaboration with costume, set and lighting designer Chrisander Brun, together with composer Ådne Meisfjord and artistic caretaker Ludvig Daae.

The Dandizettes are bloodthirsty beings who embrace the idea of the self without hesitation or second thought. Blood is a fresh produce, and provides you with energy in the same way as inspiration, confirmation, creativity and the energy derived from an audience. Dandizettes needs you.

Self-absorbed and lacking in perspective, Dandizettes is getting a taste for escaping the confrontal life in daylight and searches for the carefree intoxication of the night.

Ida Wigdel is a professional dancer and choreographer from Norway, sometimes known as The Slut from Jørpeland. She has developed an intuitive way of working with dance and choreography, and sees her own works as a continous and ongoing composition. The choreographer and dancer in her are indistinguishable, and she firmly believes in the synergy between her partners and the audience. Her expression is characterized by a complex physicality and strange absurdities with certain elements of darkness.

Dandizettes is premiering at MDT Stockholm 18–19 November.
