OUT OF BODY
What does it mean to live in a body – and what does it take to leave it?
In this edition of Plattform, ONLY SLIME invites you to an evening that explores methods, reflections, and rituals related to the body – what it means to inhabit something, and how our bodies encounter each other and the world. What happens when we remove our bodies – when we forget, abandon, or lose ourselves in the collective, the virtual, the disembodied? Where do we go when we dream?
We meet Jonas Hamre, Kitagawa/Helle and Lykourgos Porfyris, who all explore performance as a form of dissolution, and music as a basis for collective rituals with the potential to take us out of our bodies and into new worlds.
● Jonas Hamre
For Plattform, Jonas Flemsæter Hamre prepares a unique solo performance with saxophone and electronics. Hamre is a saxophonist, composer, producer, and sound artist from Sykkylven, educated at the Grieg Academy in Bergen.
He leads the bands Malstrøm, Forskjønnelsen, Indre Sunnmøre Støylag and Hamres Hop – with Malstrøm earning a Spellemann nomination for its debut album. He also takes part in several collaborations, among them Gutu Abera, who received the «All Africa Awards» for Jazz Song of the Year in 2023.
Hamre has further collaborated with a wide range of renowned musicians across jazz, pop, and hip hop – from Sondre Lerche and Lars Vaular to Nils Petter Molvær and Metteson.
● Kitagawa/Helle: «Hud/kjøtt» (working title)
In this performance, Kitagawa/Helle, through the reuse of scenographic elements created by Frida Vige Helle, will explore a metamorphic dance of grief. A choreography developed with Nami Kitagawa Aam, meditating on the body in a cage, as a ritual in the search for dignified perfection.
● Lykourgos Porfyris
MILFOK is a nine-song sound performance. The project comments on the bisexual confusion of longing and desiring the «wrong people». Toxic masculinity is always problematic. At the same time, all genders and sexualities can be both attractive and sexy. MILFOK explores the fine line between desire and disgust. The project poses the question: can we separate our sexual fantasies from our ideology?
MILFOK Reloaded is an extended, hyper-sexualized version of the aforementioned performance – a more danceable celebration of revolutionary contradictions.
PLATTFORM #3 is an informal showcase for small-scale productions, performance excerpts, and projects still in the making. PLATTFORM is more than a presentation – it is a social gathering place, a space for curiosity and experimentation, always with free admission.
● ONLY SLIME is a shape-shifting artist duo founded in Oslo by Claudia Cox and Tobi Pfeil – merging theatre, opera, digital art, and immersive technology into high-intensity, genre-fluid works. Since their debut at Black Box teater, they have toured AFTERLIFE across Europe, with their next production set for Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin, October 2025. AFTERLIFE received international recognition and was awarded Work of the Year 2025 by the Norwegian Society of Composers. ONLY SLIME is currently in residence at Det Norske Teatret, where they continue to expand their hybrid stage language and forge new theatrical mythologies. In September 2025, ONLY SLIME will premiere their new fantasy opera and fantasy festival DRAGONBLOOD, created in collaboration with Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival and the International Fosse Festival.
