Clara Furey
Clara Furey is a Canadian choreographer and performer based in Montréal. She trained in music at the Conservatoire de Paris and in dance at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. As a performer, she has collaborated with acclaimed choreographers such as George Stamos, Damien Jalet, and Benoît Lachambre.
Furey made her choreographic debut in 2017 with the group piece Cosmic Love. Her solo work When Even The was created as part of the Leonard Cohen exhibition A Crack in Everything, shown at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal. In 2019, she followed up with Rather a Ditch, a solo performed by Céline Bonnier.
With Dog Rising (2021), Furey completed a trilogy exploring tension and stillness – releasing previously restrained energies in a performance centered on endurance, groove, and pleasure.
