Band

18.–21. april 2013

BAND is a performance that investigates the experience of a psychedelic concert. Yet, there are no musicians, no instruments, and no music to be heard. Kaleidoscopic shadows, drony movement, and a feeling of drifting away create the sound.

Ingri Fiksdal is a Norwegian choreographer. She trained at the Oslo National Acadamy of the Arts, and has been making work since graduating in 2006. Her two recent productions Night Tripper (2012) and The Orchard Ballads (2011), created in collaboration with artists Ingvild Langgård and Signe Becker, have been touring to venues such as brut-künsterhaus in Vienna, Kampnagel in Hamburg, Inkonst in Malmø, The Armory Show in New York City, LIMIT festival in Belgrade, IBT13 in Bristol, ANTI festival in Kuopio, Homo Novus in Riga, alongside to several venues around Norway. «Night Tripper» was recently awarded best performance of the year 2012 by the Norwegian magazine Natt&Dag.
